Opportunity

Join a growing team of water and wastewater professionals dedicated to advancing an essential industry. In this role, you would lead Nviro’s Construction Division throughout the preconstruction and construction of water and wastewater treatment plants.

Responsibilities

Business Development 

  • Seek out and complete bid opportunities through client relationships, network opportunities, public/private postings, assigned bid opportunities, etc.
  • Monitor progress towards annual goals and make adjustments to uphold successful execution.
  • Remain aware of the competition in the marketplace and find ways to differentiate Nviro.

Project Management  

  • Aid and assist in the preparation of preconstruction and construction, supporting and mentoring direct reports or other employees as needed. Assign opportunities in conjunction with team and experience level.
  • Create project schedules and track progress, updating as needed.
  • Work to ensure all aspects of the project are met safely, on/under budget and in the appropriate time frame allowed. Support and direct employees on safety practices and hazard communication in bidding processes (pre-bid meetings, hazard assessments, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with existing clients, while initiating contact with prospective clients as well.

People Management 

  • Directly oversee the Construction Division (Project Managers, Project Engineers, Field Superintendents, etc.) and coach. Set context, review performance and develop staff to reach their potential. Coordinate reviews, providing input on performance highlights and improvements needed.
  • Perform the daily scheduling of field operations staff, with the ability to effectively prioritize and problem-solve. 
  • Develop a collaborative and solutions-oriented team culture to ensure strong communication between project managers and superintendents.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related engineering discipline, with a master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of Project Management experience in a commercial or industrial industry, preferably with water and wastewater treatment processes.  
  • 5+ years of leading and managing highly experienced professionals, including recruiting, training and developing to achieve division goals and objectives. 
  • Professional knowledge and experience of the entire construction project lifecycle. 
  • Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
  • Focused, with an ability to effectively prioritize.  
  • Detail oriented, with an emphasis on accuracy.  
  • Reliable in upholding budgets and schedules.

The overall market range for roles in this area of Nviro is typically $160,000 – $190,000.
