Opportunity

Lead and oversee manufacturing and production operations supporting Nviro’s design-build of high-performance treatment plants and products. Responsibilities include 20–30% hands-on machine operation and training, with the remaining 70% focused on team leadership, scheduling, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all manufacturing and production operations supporting Nviro’s design-build of high-performance treatment plants and products.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and management of the manufacturing team, including scheduling, performance oversight, coaching, and accountability.
  • Assist with the hiring, onboarding, training, development, and offboarding of manufacturing employees.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet operational demands; monitor workflow and adjust resources to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including manufacturing logs and quality control reports; prepare regular reports on performance, efficiency, and cost metrics.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend advanced manufacturing equipment, tooling, and technologies to enhance shop capabilities, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Assemble, operate, and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery; develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and reliability.
  • Manage raw material and component inventory levels; compile material takeoffs and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability.
  • Develop loading, unloading, and installation plans for tanks and equipment to ensure safe and efficient transport and deployment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure seamless production processes; review project specifications to align design and finished products and support modifications when necessary.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, uniformity, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards; implement and enforce facility-wide safety protocols.
  • Support the implementation, adherence, audit readiness, and continuous improvement of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Identify and implement process optimization initiatives to increase productivity, improve quality, and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Utilize design and manufacturing software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CAM) for fabrication planning, process improvement, and design support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in manufacturing and design, with a focus on industrial metal fabrication and stainless steel welding.
  • Demonstrated experience leading shop operations, supervising personnel, and managing production workflows.
  • Expert-level knowledge of welding methods, manufacturing design, fabrication processes, and quality control systems.
  • Experience developing production schedules and managing material inventory in coordination with procurement.
  • Proven ability to research, evaluate, and implement advanced manufacturing equipment, tooling, and process improvements.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining quality management systems (ISO 9001 preferred); ability to obtain and maintain AISC welding certifications.
  • Proficient with shop equipment including overhead cranes, forklifts, saws, ironworkers, shears, press brakes, and welding systems.
  • Strong proficiency in manufacturing software and tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CAM); working knowledge of G-code.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills; able to resolve issues through technical documentation and clear communication.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership; uphold OSHA and company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to approximately 70 lbs.

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a full-time, salaried management role responsible for direct supervision and leadership of the manufacturing shop team. The Manufacturing Manager must be present onsite to lead the production crew during operating hours and is expected to arrive before and remain after shift hours as needed to support operations and participate in management meetings. This role requires consistent onsite presence to effectively support team performance and operational goals.

The anticipated compensation range for this role is $130,000 –$160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
