Opportunity

Expand Nviro’s in-house machinery manufacturing endeavors, as we utilize the latest equipment to weld and fabricate a variety of products and tanks.

Responsibilities

Fabrication

  • Perform both field and shop metal fabrication.
  • Operate machinery used in the production process such as shear, roller, brake, cold cut saw, etc.
  • Utilize various fabrication, assembly and installation tools including but not limited to forklifts, drill presses, band saws, grinders, cold cut saws, shear, plasma, milling, press brake forming, and laser cutting systems.
  • Fabricate parts used in repairs using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Load appropriate files into CNC machinery and perform CNC operations. 
  • Stainless steel tank and skid fabrication as well as tank repurposing and relocating.
  • Clean and maintain all shop equipment.

Welding

  • Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification.
  • MIG and TIG welding of stainless-steel, aluminum, mild steel, stainless pipe and tube welding.
  • Follow specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings. 
  • Grinding, sanding, polishing, and passivation of the final product as required.
  • Quality control testing to identify sources of problems through observation, and use precision measuring and testing instruments.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in industrial fabrication/welding (or related role) in a manufacturing environment, specializing in stainless steel.
  • AWS Certified Welder (CW) preferred, but not required with relevant experience. 
  • Proficient in welding methods and quality control.
  • Working knowledge of all tools and equipment i.e. overhead cranes, saws, iron workers, shears, brakes, welding equipment, etc.
  • Reliable, with the ability to effectively prioritize assigned projects based on due date.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding.
  • Exercise a strong level of attention to detail and focus on tasks.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized, while taking proper care of all equipment and facilities.
  • Uphold all OSHA and company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, including housekeeping practices and participation in EHS meetings, investigations, and audits.
  • Resolve problems early through drawings, details, notes and communication.
  • A valid CA Drivers License, with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud machinery, metalworking fluids, and other industrial elements.
  • Requires lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
  • Must be willing to work 5/8 hour shifts.
  • Experience with sanitary or process piping (preferred, but not required).

The overall market range for roles in this area of Nviro is typically between $30 – $44 an hour depending on experience.
